Meet Dylan Taylor.

The Sound Collaborative is pumped to have Dylan Taylor join its Board of Directors!

Dylan is a musician, a self-described “multipotentialite,” a long-time resident of NWA—living in the Bentonville area since the age of 7—and has enjoyed watching the area grow and change over the years.

Dylan works as an AP Coordinator at Arvest Bank and lives in Bentonville with his son, Leonardo, and dog, Millie. You might catch him Onewheeling around Downtown Bentonville (when the weather is nice), playing live music, and generally enjoying the beautiful outdoors.

Dylan’s parents, both musicians, inspired his passion for music at a very young age. He started learning drums from his dad at the age of 2 or 3, and received his first guitar at 14, which blossomed into his lifelong passion of learning and loving the instrument.

For the past 13 years, Dylan has played in venues all across NWA in a number of groups spanning many different genres—and ended up playing almost exclusively worship music for local churches for about a decade.

Dylan brings with him a vast network of connections and relationships within the NWA music community. He served as the Vice President on the Board of Directors for the Arkansas Farmers Market Association, and as the Farmers Market Manager for Downtown Bentonville Inc, where he was able to work very closely with small businesses across NWA—stoking his passion to support as many small businesses and community initiatives as he can.

About his excitement for The Sound Collaborative, Dylan shares, “The Sound Collaborative project is important to me because I feel that it provides a great need to the NWA music community. As a fellow musician, I've encountered many issues in the past that could have been easily solved by this organization's mission. The idea around the Sound Collaborative is one that can make practice, collaboration, inclusivity, recording, and even shows a possibility with one space. That is something that can benefit musicians of all backgrounds in the NWA community.”

The Sound Collaborative received its official 501c3 approval on Christmas Eve! We will soon begin seeking financial backers and in-kind partnerships.

Want to help move the project forward? Please share about this project with everyone you know—and if you can provide connections, financial resources, physical space, a special skill, or want to lend your support in some other way—please reach out to us using the contact form in our menu.
