About the Collaborative.

Sound Collab. Founder, Adrian Rodriguez.

The Sound Collaborative is the long time dream of Founder, Adrian Rodriguez—a Northwest Arkansas native and lifelong musician—who hopes to promote true collaboration & musical diversity in the NWA community.

With more than 12 years of experience in the music industry, Adrian knows firsthand the issues local musicians face—from difficulty finding collaboration with others in their genre, to the limited rehearsal & concert space and lack of access to affordable recording studios.

”Obstacles like these create barriers for local artists to hone their craft and bring to life the kind of flourishing musical community that NWA deserves.” He shares.

In early 2022, Adrian and his wife, Sound Collaborative Co-Founder Cherri Rodriguez, put together a survey and received over 100 responses from local musicians sharing their pain points, needs, and financial abilities. The couple used this data to create a concept for The Sound Collaborative as a community-funded gathering space for musicians to play, rehearse, record, and collaborate together.

The Collaborative is a cost-sharing model with a variety of membership tiers. Each collaborator pays a little to help keep the doors open for all.

Memberships will start at $50/month per person and include access to the collaborative space, rehearsal rooms, and more! Scholarships will also be available to young musicians in need, thanks to the generosity of The Collaborative’s community donors.

UPDATE: The Sound Collaborative received its official 501c3 approval on Christmas Eve 2022! Soon, we will begin seeking financial backers and in-kind partnerships.
